I was working at Bradbury House for the British Red Cross when
the Tapestry project began, and thought I would try to depict
part of the building as it was originally the Pump House for the
Brunswick Dock System, and was built in 1892.”
The Iron Men at Crosby were quite controversial when they were
first sited on the beach, but have now become an institution. I
thought they would look good as part of the overall Tapestry.”
